ONE OCEAN, GLOBAL JUSTICE

Policy, social justice and sustainability:

Achieving environmental sustainability involves recognizing and understanding the natural constraints of our marine environment. Equally important is the implementation of effective measures to transit towards a circular blue economy.

It is crucial to cultivate a common awareness that we all share and belong to the same blue planet, emphasising that local actions have far-reaching implications for global health. Only by fostering global well-being can we ensure sustainable development at the local level.

Building resilience and sustainability necessitate the development of more equitable societies within the framework of global justice.
