Culture, marine social science and territory:
Aimed at developing harmonious and sustainable relations between urban areas and the ocean, both at individual (citizens) and structural (cities and harbours) levels. Coastal territories start to change their relationship with the ocean, which should be recognized and thoughtfully adapted as an ideal model for developing a sustainable and equitable ocean economy.
However, achieving this vision is contingent on a comprehensive understanding and integration of planetary boundaries, especially recognizing the values and services provided by the oceans, involving all societal actors in the daily life of a city in harmony with the ocean.
